I doubt that there's another reason to visit Ercolano other than to visit the incredibly well-preserved ruins of Hercolaneum (think Pompeii, but better!). And this place (half the property is the Hotel Hercolaneum and half is the Ruins B&B) is right opposite the entrance to the ruins. So the situation couldn't be better. It's also great value for the money, with a lovely breakfast, and staff who go out of their way to help. I was travelling with my daughter, who has dietary restrictions, and despite the fact that I hadn't warned them in advance, the people serving breakfast provided just what she needed.

The location was excellent, the staff (especially for breakfast but really everyone we met) was super friendly and kind to us and our little ones. Breakfast was great. The room was clean and had everything we needed. They were very accommodating and helpful with requests or any questions. We would definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone else. There is a beautiful and romantic outdoor seating area as well for a nice dinner in, relaxing place to read or sip wine, if we had made time for it!

Christine

Great location, 5mins from the station and 30s from Herculaneum archeological site. great communication with Lucia who gave us restaurants recommendations and even let me know each day whether Vesuvius national park was open or not (sadly not as we had snow and heavy rain during our visit). I was visiting with my 22yo son, and the twin room was perfect for our needs. Simple breakfast was included in the very reasonable price which we ate in the linked Hotel. Thanks Lucia :)

ATTENTION, the reception for "Ruins B&B" is the same as "Hotel Herculaneum". car parking is 400m/5min walk from the hotel, in the street "Via Plinio" (right next to "Golden Mile B&B"). The hotel is right across from the entrance to Herculaneum (interesting, we were there for over 3 hours). 600m walk to the train stop to Naples (nice city). Receptionist helpful, nice, speaks perfect English. the room is nice, stylish, clean, comfortable

The breakfast was pretty good -- enough variety to satisfy! The location was amazing for those wanting to visit Herculaneum. Most of the staff were incredibly pleasant and helpful, especially Matteo, the breakfast ladies, and the woman who met me at check-in. The air conditioning was excellent! The taxi service set up by the hotel was outstanding! The room was very clean and had a closet and a mini-fridge which the hotel stocked.
